The exterior scenes of the Bueller house were among the ones filmed on the West Coast. This house is within walking distance from Fox Studios where the show was filmed so that worked out well for them. The Happy Days House is located near Paramount Studios where the show was filmed. The Last House on the Left is directed by Dennis Iliadis and adapted to screenplay by Adam Alleca and Carl Ellsworth from the story by Wes Craven (co-producer here). Music is by John Murphy and cinematography by Sharone Meir. Not many unseasoned audience members will find the 2009 rape scene "toned down," and indeed I found it painful to watch.
